“What if that change you are avoiding is the one that gives you wings?”
If we are wanting to be better people, we first need to own up to what needs to be changed. But most people do not like to look inside and see that darkness and address it.
It makes us vulnerable, it is scary and it hurts.
This is why people are put into your life to reflect that and make you address it. We have to expose that which is keeping us down and own up to it. Once it is exposed and you see it for what it is, you can then address it.
Blaming others for everything is never a way to change yourself for the better. Own your bullshit!
There is always something we can do better and change.
As Mark Twain said- DO WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE, AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS GOT.
If you want something changed, first always look at yourself, not others.
If something is kept in the dark and secret, you subconsciously give it power. To negate the negative aspect of that power you must expose it and own up to it.
Ask: In what ways do you think you need to grow or change?
- No matter your age, you CAN teach and old dog new tricks. If you need help in this, take a bite of humble pie and ask those closest to you.
- Ask why certain people trigger a negative emotion or response in you. In most cases, these people are a mirror of what you think negatively about yourself.
