Have you ever noticed that some music just feels different? Like it settles into your chest instead of buzzing around your head? That is a big part of why I am so passionate about 432 Hz music, and why I want to share what I have learned about it.
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Nikola Tesla

How Sound Changes Matter
Everything is vibrating, including you. When sound moves through water, sand or air, it actually changes the shape of what it touches. This is called cymatics. Scientists put sand or water on a plate, play a tone, and watch it form a beautiful geometric pattern. Change the frequency and the whole pattern changes. (Here is a video so you can see it for yourself.)

Dr. Masaru Emoto also became famous for his water crystal photos, showing how water seemed to form different crystals depending on the words, music and intentions it was exposed to. Now think about this: our bodies are mostly water. If sound can reshape water and sand, what is the music we listen to every day doing to us?
What Is the Difference Between 440 Hz and 432 Hz Music?
Almost all music today is tuned so the note A equals 440 Hz. It was not always that way. A=440 Hz became the official international tuning standard in the mid-1900s, and the International Organization for Standardization adopted it in 1955. Before that, orchestras and composers used many different tunings, and many believe the older, lower tuning of A=432 Hz is more in tune with nature.
You may have heard rumors about why 440 Hz was chosen, including some wild conspiracy theories. Those have never been proven, so I will leave them there. What matters more to me is how each one feels.
Why 432 Hz Music Feels Different
Here is what people who love 432 Hz music say about it:
- It feels warmer and softer. Many musicians describe 432 Hz as rounder and more relaxing, while 440 Hz sounds tighter and a little more aggressive.
- You feel it in your body. A lot of listeners say 432 Hz music is felt in the heart and spine, while 440 Hz is felt more in the head.
- It fills the room. Audiophiles often say 432 Hz sounds fuller and more spread out, instead of coming straight at you.
- It connects to nature. Supporters point out that the number 432 shows up in sacred geometry, ancient sites and ratios of the sun, earth and moon. Many also connect 432 Hz with the chakras and the color spectrum.
The science on all of this is still very new, and I am not going to tell you it has all been proven. But I can tell you what I have experienced. When I listen to the same song in both tunings, I can feel the difference. 432 Hz feels like coming home.
Try the 432 Hz Test for Yourself
Do not just take my word for it. Put on some headphones, close your eyes and listen to the same song in both tunings. Notice where you feel it in your body and which one you would rather keep listening to:
Listen with your whole body instead of your thinking mind. Let me know which one resonates more with you!
How to Convert Your Music to 432 Hz
