Fruity Chia Breakfast Drink

Want and easy on the go breakfast? This is a yummy drink that keeps you filled and is high in omegas, thanks to our friend the Chia Seeds! Adding any kind of fruit adds variety and makes it easy to change up so you do not have the same thing over and over. This is great to make the night before and will store in the fridge for a couple of days. This makes this drink an easy snack and there when you need it. The order you add the ingredients makes a difference and you will see why šŸ™‚ There will be less of a mess and less things to clean.

First get yourself a quart jar, and add 1/3 cup of a sweetener. I put melted raw honey, agave or real maple syrup or a mixture of all of them! If you are worried about blood sugar add a squirt of a liquid stevia. If your honey is crystalized then add a heaping spoonful and melt in microwave (I know not the best, but you can put the glass quart jar right in the microwave)

Next, add in 1 cup of fresh or unthawed fruit. I put the fruit in a bowl and use a fork to squish it all up. This is so you can drink the fruit.

Then fill the jar with milk. I use an Almond and Cashew blend. Leave some space at the top so you have room to shake the contents.

Last ingredient is your chia seeds, I use 6 Tablespoons. You can find what you like, less than that will make it more runny, and more than that will make it thicker. At 12 Tablespoons you will have yourself a pudding and not really a drink.

Put your lid on and give it a shake and watch it turn a beautiful color. I leave it on the counter for 5 minutes so I remember to shake it every minute. If you do not do this your chia seeds will all clump together and you will have chunks. So make sure you shake it until they stay separated.

At this point you can put in fridge and store. I would wait an hour or so to drink it and let the chia seeds get soft. Thats it!

This means the person they can talk to about all of their feelings and emotions that are a lot and that are very d e e p. Having this be a consistent thing is huge. Having an appointment with a life coach, therapist or counselor at the end of every week to talk about their life

So warming herbs are good for you like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon and licorice root are great because it is warming āž•moisturizing. Marshmallow root is also good to retain moisture in the body. • I like both. I cook mine in broth for more flavor and it’s easy to make ahead and keep in fridge all week. It adds some protein and is more filling- but if I don’t have it, I’m not sad-mad. 

RECIPE: 
Chopped cucumber šŸ„’
Chopped tomato šŸ… 
Diced Avocado šŸ„‘ 
Salt & Pepper (red pepper to kick it up) 
Chopped Cilantro 🌿 (this helps the body detox heavy metals so I don’t skip it- but if you are the soapy taste people *it’s a genetic thing* then do flat leaf parsley!) 

DRESSING:
Make ahead dressing mix- 

Italian dressing packet 
DO olive oil not vegetable oil 
Vinegar 
Water 
*(add a bit of balsamic vinegar to change things up sometimes)

I have an empty chair šŸ™ƒ Hear me out on this quick summer salad cause I have a lot of mint to use… mint is like the person in your life who does not know what boundaries are. šŸƒ If you plant mint, do it in a container or box— something where it has its boundaries given to it other use it will take over e v e r y t g i n g.

Apple-Coconut Salad:
•So Delicious coconut dairy free yogurt. I used half a tiny container for 1 apple. About 1/4 cup. Put this in bowl first. 
•Mix into yogurt 1/8 tsp or a dash of Chinese Five Spice. (If you want to go sweet on sweet then use a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg).
•Dice 1 apple and mix into yogurt. Top with pecans and mint. DONE šŸ‘Š

Side note: mint is good for many things including calming nerves, good for the digestion, getting circulation going, and good for Vata constitutions.
