This whole website is about one thing: learning how to raise your vibration so you can live a lighter, healthier and more joyful life. A while back I read a great article on Wake Up World called 10 Ways to Raise Our Vibration, and it laid out so much of what I believe so clearly. Here are those ideas in my own words, with what has worked for me and my family.
What Is Vibration?
Your vibration is your own unique energy signature. It is the state of your energy right now, shaped by your beliefs, emotions, experiences and the people around you. It is affected by things outside of you, like what you eat and where you spend your time, and by things inside of you, like your thoughts. That is why we need to take care of ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. You can see how different foods, feelings and habits compare on my frequency chart.
Why Raise Your Vibration?
We are energy beings living in physical bodies. I believe that when our energy is out of balance, our bodies and lives feel it, and when we live in love and joy, everything feels lighter. Feelings like love, joy and gratitude carry a much higher vibration than fear and anger. And like attracts like. The energy you put out tends to come back to you in the people, opportunities and situations you draw into your life.
10 Ways to Raise Your Vibration
The key to all of these is consistency. Small daily habits will do so much more than a big effort once in a while.
Physically
1. Eat living foods. Fresh, organic fruits and vegetables carry a much higher frequency than processed, fried and sugary foods. A cold pressed juice is one of my favorite easy wins.
2. Drink water and sleep. Staying hydrated and getting good sleep are so simple, and they make a huge difference in how you feel.
3. Move your body. When you move your body, you move your energy. Walk outside, stretch, do yoga, or turn on music and dance in your kitchen.
4. Do what makes you feel good. Laugh, sing, hug, take a hot bath, play with your pets, garden. Anything that brings love and joy is high vibration. Serving others counts too. Kindness really is contagious.
Emotionally
5. Be real with your feelings. Raising your vibration does not mean pretending to be happy. The emotions we push down only get louder. Let yourself feel them, then let them go. My post on how to release stored emotions can help.
6. Journal. I believe “negative” emotions are messengers. Writing down how you feel, and what happened around it, helps you see the root of what is going on and what you can change.
7. Love yourself and guard your “emotional food.” Spend time with people who see you for who you are. Pay attention to what you watch, read and scroll, because your mind and energy soak it all in. It is all about awareness and balance.
Mentally
8. Change the stories you tell. If your thoughts are full of judging, blaming and shaming, they will bring you down. When you catch a negative thought, sandwich it with two thoughts of gratitude. It works fast, and it reminds you that your vibration is your choice.
Spiritually
9. Meditate and pray. Meditation and prayer are two of the quickest ways to feel calm and connected. You can even find a meditative state washing dishes or painting, anytime you lose yourself in the present moment. Here is my guide on how to meditate.
10. Clear and ground your energy. Energy work like Reiki, sound healing, crystals and essential oils can help bring calm and balance. A simple practice is to picture white light coming in through the top of your head, washing through your whole body, and carrying everything you no longer need down into the earth.
Make It Fun
The more you practice these little habits, the easier and more natural they become. Share them with your family and friends, and you will all start to feel the difference together. For even more ideas, check out my body frequency post.
