This is amazing and will save you during a cleanse. If you have never cleansed before and this is your first time it will get easier and easier, I promise. Cleansing and fasting is what we need to incorporate and do for the rest of our life to maintain health!

For beginners with cleansing, I recommend instead of just doing liquids- eat fresh fruits, salads and lots of veggies along with juicing. Your body has to adjust and get used to cleansing. Note that: the type of food you eat on a cleanse also depends on the cleanse you are doing- so read through your protocol. You do not have to change your diet but you will not get the results you want. This broth gives your body a power nutrient punch so that you do not get the symptoms of fainting, weak and nauseous. I know doing a long liquid cleanse my body will need this so I just make up a batch and keep it in the fridge. I like it warm and have not tasted it cold but you totally could do that to over ice like a V8.

I warm up cup at a time in a pot and THEN do not skip this part because it makes it so yummy. Add a bit of salt to your liking. Make sure you use the real salt brand and not table iodized salt. If you would like to read more on that see this post Iodized Salt.

Oh man, it tastes SO good on a cleanse. It is exactly what you need to keep you going and hold you over. And isn’t it so pretty?! I am constantly amazed at the beauty of colors in this world. Have this made on the first day so that you have it if you are starting to feel faint.

Here is how to make your potassium broth:

Fill a large pot with organic-

  • 25% potato peelings
  • 25% carrot peelings
  • 3 whole chopped beets
  • 25% chopped onions
  • 25% celery and dark greens (I used spinach)
  • 50 cloves of garlic, minimum
  • Hot peppers to taste (You can skip this)
  • Enough distilled water to cover vegetables.

Simmer on very low temperature for 2 hours or more. Then strain the broth and drink away. Store in the fridge and it will keep for a week. Salt to taste.

You will feel better, lighter and take back you health with cleansing and fasting. Hope this helps you on your journey!
